Works for me! December 28, 2008 My laptop and PC both recognized it right away. I have not had any problems with it yet, had mine for about 3 mths. I do not use usb cords anymore because of this. Works great and for a good price.
Great tool to have in your pocket, plastic is cheap December 23, 2008 This is a great tool to have in your pocket. Not only does it read your cards but if you keep an old SD card in there you can use it as a flash drive :) Only problem is that the plastic is cheap, and after a while the covers will crack and stop working. But what can you expect for such a cheap reader.
Doesn't work at full USB 2.0 speed December 14, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've tried it with many PCs and never has it been recognized as a USB 2.0 device. I've compared this card reader with a friend that has a very similar one and we noticed that some components were different under the transparent plastic shell. The model I've received might be from a different batch and it would cost more to ship it back than to order another model.
Works December 11, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
These things either work or they don't. This one works fine for me. There are a million and one different brands of these reader/writers... All do pretty much the same thing. This one being USB2.0 does allow faster transfer rates of course.
bought it. doesn't work. November 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
i bought the reader to work w/ my 8g and 4g micro SD cards so i could backup data to hard drive.
the red indicator light glows on the reader, and an icon for 'removable disk e:' appears in explorer. however when you click on the icon i get the error message: 'please insert a disk drive into drive E:'
in other words, my system recogizes the reader, but not the card plugged into the reader.
regardless, it's of no use to me. and i'm in the market for another card reader. any suggestions of a good one?
