No harsh (or expensive) cleaners means no fumes or residues to irritate lungs or muddy delicate finishes, while the use of hot steam rather than buckets of water leaves floors dry in just seconds. Heated and ready to use in 30 seconds, the remarkably quiet mechanism works something like an iron: steam is dispensed on demand, rather than continuously, by pressing the trigger while passing the mop over the floor. Works well January 8, 2009
This a good product for kids to help cleaning out hardwood or tile floor. It works great for tile floor. The steam evaporated fast. But for laminated floor, it takes too long to dry up. I have to use the dry mop to dry the steam so kids will not slip.

I love this mop. I had tried the shark brand & it smeared steam more than cleaned the floor. The bissell gets the floor wetter than the shark did, some reviewers complained it was too wet, it doesn't take that long to dry and you hear the steam but don't see it as much as the shark. But with the steam and very hot water i love how the floors feel when I'm done. So I'm done searching for mops.
Great Product January 6, 2009
I just received this mop and love it! My floor covering is several years old and I have given up trying to get it clean, but this mop worked great. It will take at least one more cleaning to get the floor really clean. I used the steam sparingly and the floor dried very quickly.

The Bissell Steam Mop is built well and it appears to do the job. We have used it several times on ceramic tile floors and it helps in cleaning the grout as well. We had purchased a Shark Steam Mop first; it was not well constructed, and within one week it failed to steam. So if you are looking for a steam mop; Bissell is a good option. I have other Bissell products and have had similar success with them.
