oh baby October 7, 2008 Street fighter is a classic and this order did not dissapoint. since it is the original street fighter 2 and in great working condition
I would've given it the last star if only... March 19, 2008 ... this was one of the updated versions (not sequels, but the turbo, championship, etc. versions) with more characters and where the bosses are playable. I bought it because I was really missing this game from my childhood and only had a little money. I went with the cheapest one. Anyway, the Street Fighter series deserves a lot of credit. It's responsible for almost every fighting game you see these days. To this day, it has some of the best fighting styles, and they're all logical. The gameplay is very typical of Capcom, with the kind of rock, paper, scissors way of strengths and weaknesses.
Best 2-D Fighter to grace the console gaming world! September 17, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior is perhaps my favourite fighter of all time! It was the first definitive fighter to be released on console, and was second to none (still is in my opinion). With choice of 8 different characters each with their very own fighting techniques and styles, makes for an awesome array of varied battles, in other words no 2 fights will ever be the same! Another great feature about the game is that it is multiplayer. So get a friend around and challenge them until your heart's content. I'd have to disagree with a few of the other reviews on the subject of street fighter II turbo being the greatest SF of all time. I believe that SF: Championship Edition on the 'ye old arcades is probably the best. A touch faster in gameplay as opposed to SF II: The World Warrior, and the ability to choose the additional bosses. Thats enough rambling on my part! In conclusion, SF II: The World Warrior is most definitely a worthy game in anyone's collection! See for yourself.
street fighter II April 26, 2005 not a bad game..very fun..but super street fighter II turbo was better in my opinion because you could be the bosses.
My first Snes game March 20, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought a Super Nintendo especily just for this game when it came out. It was the coolest game since MArio brothers to hit the curicuits. I loved the next version better (Turbo edition) but the best of them all is Super Street Fighter 2.
I really got out of the whole Street Fighter thing since SSF2Turbo. I have had very little interest in the Animie style it's gone towards since. Plus I cant keep up with them, there must be a million different versions of SF2 (because sf1; Fighting Street was not quite the same as this one) butthis is where it all started. And this is the true SF game that is responsable for all those clones of this game. But nothing compares to SSFII. It has since breathed new life again on the Gameboy advance. I cant remember what it's called, but it's pretty much the same with some new extras included, and Akuma.
